A week full of Awesomeness!!!

My parents and youngest brother Glenn flew in on Tuesday May 19th... just in time to attend Cole's County track meet. It started out with rain but managed to stay dry throughout the rest of the meet. We got there at 12:30pm and the meet got over at 7:30pm. 19 schools were in attendance for this meet. Clear Creek MS had 7 boys on their 8th grade team.. and with these 7 boys they took first place out of 19 schools with 91 points! I am so proud of each of these boys. They did so well in all of their events. This is their trophy for 1st place!
This is all of the boys. starting from the bottom left, Sawyer Rhinevault, Nico Estibar, Remy Sosasmith, Gerry Gomez, top: Hunter Pattock, Cole Lindhorst & Devauntae Hoffman

Grandpa Merrill got his hair done by one of my girls.. so pretty!

Uncle Glenn's blue teeth from drinking a blue gatorade! Glenn thanks for coming! It is so good to see you after 2 long years!(just returned from his mission)

Thanks Uncle Mike, Aunt Julie, Deagan and Kira for coming to Cole's meet!

This is CCMS 4X100M Relay.. and they smoked their competion and easily took 1st! It was an incredible race! These boys are golden together!
Cole also took first place in the long jump: 18 feet
Cole and his 4X200M relay team took first and broke the previous record!
Cole took 3rd in his 2ooM.. it was a close race.. only .o1 seconds separated him and 2nd place
It was a great day.. so glad to have shared it with family! It meant alot!

Here is Cole's cheering section! I took all of the girls (including Savanah, Sierra's friend) out of school early to attend the meet.
Thanks Mom and Dad/Grandma and Grandpa Merrill & Uncle Glenn for coming all the way from AZ to support Cole!
Thanks Grandpa Lindhorst and Grandma Judy for coming and cheering for Cole too! He really appreciated all of the support!

14 already! Happy Birthday Cole!
Saturday May 23, 2009 was Cole's birthday. The weather was absolutely perfect so we enjoyed the outdoors with a BBQ

Cake is a must at a birthday party! I think we barely had enough to go around

We picked up a couple extras at the park while playing a game of softball.

I of course had to go around and take my signature pictures... Cole was relunctant at first.

I captured him upside down while doing a flip on the trampoline

Pretty cool huh! He looks like he is sky diving... or flying!

Cole has been asking for some sunglasses, so finally he got some.. along with several new shirts and shorts.. and the scooter.... That was kinda a gag gift... he is always taking his sisters scooters and they cry and complain... he of course thinks it is so funny to take their things but as a parent it gets really tiring to hear your kids cry and say " Cole took my scooter and won't give it back!" so now he has his own and I hope he doesn't take theirs any more. (he probably will just to hear them scream) hey that's what brothers are for right? Oh and he is getting a new phone, we ordered it last night.. so he will anxiously be waitng for it to arrive.. since his broke several weeks ago and he has been using my old pink razor.. until it decided to quit last week... he is going crazy without being able to communicate with is friends.

Happy birthday Cole, I love you so much! You are the best!!

So like I mentioned we played a family game of softball on Cole's birthday... several of us were wearing flip flops.. not the best choice, but hey we managed to not get hurt. Here are Maddy's feet and Stevens... Mine looked alot like Maddy's... until I washed them.. Maddy I think really enjoys being dirty!

Okay so I mentioned that we picked up a couple extras while playing... they came in handy.. to take our group picture! It was soooo much fun! My Mom/Grandma Merrill even took a bad bounce in her chest and has quite a bruise... it was one of those extras that hit the ball.. we will just call him purple pants.. kidding his name is Cody. He was visiting his grandparents and saw us out in the park and asked to join. I am pretty certain that the 15 yr. old girls were the main attraction. He was thrilled with "frashizzle" when he learned they were the same age as him!

Maddy pitched for our team... if you ask her we won by like 8 runs.. she is all about winning!
Also on our team was Glenn, Presley and Grandma

The other team consisted of, Cole, Sierra, Savanah, Sydnee, Grandpa, Steven and Cody (AKA Purple pants frashizzle)

Steven pitched for their team...

G- Man up to bat.... he made the fielders do alot of running!

Sierra... smacked the ball pretty good too...

Grandma hit the ball and would jog to first base still carrying the bat... we decided that both her and grandpa could have designated runners for them!

Check out that form... pretty professional ey!

Birthday boy made us fielders do some running too!

Sierra even did some pitching for her team.... Pretty sure everyone had a great time!

Even Sydnee....

While Grandma and Grandpa Merrill and Uncle Glenn were here they got to go to one of Maddy's softball games... and 2 of presley's games. I forgot to add those pictures in this post. I will have to add them later. We had a great time! Thanks again for coming and being a part of our lives!

Sunday, May 24th, 2009 Cole was ordained into the office of a Teacher in the Aaronic priesthood. He was also set apart as the 1st councelor in the Teachers quorum. I am very pleased that Cole is such a worthy young man and upholds his priesthood responsibilities.

Presley and Glenn saying their good-byes...

Right after church we took a group picture... this is the only one taken with my camera and Cole's eyes are shut... hopefully there is a better one on Grandma's camera.

Here it is... already time to take them to the airport. The time goes by too quickly. We love you mom and dad & Glenn.. it meant sooo much to all of us that you took the time to come up and spend with us a week full of awesomeness!

May 18th... Sydnee is now 10!

Today is officially Syd's birthday. She is wearing some of her new clothes and carrying her school stuff in a bag she got for her birthday. She is very excited to go to school today to share cupcakes with her classmates. Oh I forgot to mention her new converse shoes... white for now. Happy birthday Sydnee! I sure love you.. you bring so much joy to our family!

Sydnee's 10th Birthday Party!

Friday May 15th Sydnee celebrated her birthday with 8 of her friends. It was a Baking Party! They each got to make their own pizza.....We made fruit smoothies while the pizza's were baking...
each girl got their own recipe book with all of the recipe's of everything we made. I had all of the girls sign Sydnee's for a keepsake.

Here is all of the girls in their Personalized Apron's!

They each frosted and decorated their own cupcake for dessert! Sydnee had a wonderful time and recieved many nice gifts. Thank you to all of her friends that came!

And a special thanks to my personal assistant Sierra Jessica Boozer. She worked so hard, she wore holes in her favorite socks! I couldn't have done it without you! Love ya!
FYI Sierra is wearing her apron from her 1oth birthday party. (she had the same kind of party)

Academic & Track All Star!

This last week Cole was honored with an Academic Allstar Award for have straight A's all 3 years @ Clear Creek Middle School, along with the Gold academic fitness award for exceeding on all state tests. Here is Cole with a couple of his buddies, "T" (Xavier) & Randy

Just before the Award ceremony Cole had his qualifying track meet for County. He did amazing! I am so proud of him. He placed first in the long jump... he has at all his meets this year. He has the 2nd best time in the state for the 2ooM 24.04 seconds and his 2 relay teams have the top times in the state also. We are looking forward to the big meet on Tuesday May 19th @ MHCC
I had to take a picture of Cole in his Track sweatshirt.. it has Lindhorst #21 on the back. It is pretty sweet!

This is Cole's 4x200M relay team after they took first place!

Happy Mother's Day

We had a very nice Mother's Day. We had a BBQ @ Mike and Krista's home. The kids love to get together with their cousins . Here is Grandma Judy with 8 of her grandkids. top left is Chandler, then Parker. bottom left is Presley, Grandma, Sydnee, Maddy, Elise, Sierra & Cole.
HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY TO ALL MOM'S! WE LOVE YOU!
Steven and the kids took me to dinner the night before to Claim Jumper's. If any of you have ever been there you know that their portions are Enormous so much food!
Here is what Sierra and I ordered for dessert to share (thank goodness)
Seriously our entire family could have shared this "I Declair" yeah, that is one dessert! I know crazy huh! I think the look on my face says enough. BTW we did not even eat 1/4 of it.

Thank you Steven and all of my wonderful kids for a great dinner and a new lounge chair for our deck! I Love you! Oh and thanks Cole for the extra chocolate bar... you are sooo thoughtful!

Field Trip to The Portland Art Museum

I got to chaparone a group of 5th graders to visit The Portland Art Museum. It is a very interesting place. They have some very old paintings from the 15th century thru modern day on display. I am amazed at how well some of them still look after so many centuries. The quality of the oil in the paints determines how well it preserves. This is Maddy in front of the Museum. Here is Maddy and I on the bus

After the museum the kids got to attend a special presentation with Guest Speaker John Scieszka(pronounced "sheska" rhymes with freska) He is Currently the US Children's Books Ambassador. He goes all around the world and promotes childrens books and his own. His most popular book is the one I have a picture of below.

This book is hilarious! I highly recommend it to anyone!
