Cole!!

Cole just finished his Freshman year at Gresham High School. He is in honors classes and did well. Cole also likes to stay busy doing fun stuff! Not so much into the whole chore thing! He got his stitches out the first day of no school.
This picture is a little blurry, sorry, he would not hold still for the picture. But they put strips on it because it was not quite healed and they chose to remove the stitches to minimize the scaring from them.

He is playing on the high school Summer team. That is cole at 3rd base...
They had a Wooden Bat Tournament at Barlow High, Friday night game they won, Cole is playing Center Field. We parked behind the field and sat in the back of our truck to watch the game.
Now in this Game Cole is playing left field.

It was actually a pretty warm weekend. In the 80's.
Sierra brought her friend Cassie.
They were able to get some sun at the same time as they "watched" the games
The kids all played kick ball in the park !

From left: Sydnee, Cole, Devlynn(on coles shoulders), Maddy, Sierra, Presley and Charmaine

Let the games begin!!!!

Madelynn Elsie!!

Madelynn survived her first year in Middle School. She averaged 97% in all of her classes and has a 4.0 GPA. Madelynn was the only 6th grader and 1 of 7 students from a student body of over 800 (consisting of 6-8th grades) that earned the Presidential Physical Fitness Award. This is no small task. It consists of everything from running the mile in a certain time, a certain amount of sit-ups, push-ups, the sit and reach and more. She was pretty excited that she earned it! It was one of her personal goals for the year. Way to go Maddy! YAY!! Schools out for Summer!

Maddy has plenty to keep her busy. Softball, a basketball camp and girls camp all in the first few weeks of summer! She likes to stay busy. (with fun stuff, not cleaning house or doing chores)

Summer Sizzler to Drizzler -dash- Father's Day Classic

The Summer Sizzler Softball Tournament @ North Clackamas June 5-6th, 2010
Saturday was a warm day upper 70's. It was gorgeous! The Riptide played 3 games. won the first game easily, lost the 2nd game by 2 runs, then won the 3rd game against the Mojo Angels 3-2. It was a phenomenal game! From the games we went to a good friends Luau Birthday Party. The family!
This is after their 3rd game against the Mojos (the girls have friends on that team)
Then Sunday the weather turned to drizzle, and rain and just plain nasty. They moved the games to the Turf fields. Riptide finished in 9th place in the gold bracket. The only comfort that came from that was the win against the Mojos, that ended up taking 2nd place.

Happy Father's Day to the best daddy ever!!! New ball caps, always a good gift. T-shirts, and a new watch. Love you Steven! You are the best!
The Riptide had another tournament that weekend "The Father's Day Classic"
@ Wilsonville High School (Turf Fields)
The girls put together a goody bag for their daddies!

Riptide went undefeated and took First place in the Gold Bracket! They only allowed 5 runs scored all games combined, and they scored 49 runs total!
The team recieved their tallest trophy this season and each of the girls got their own! The team Dads all agree that this was the best Father's Day gift!
