Well fall has definitely arrived here. The smell of the crisp autumn air, leaves in many colors, the rain... did I mention the rain? The wind blowing, the leaves falling off of the trees. All of the leaves from the dozens of trees in the park now in our back yard. Oh the joy of raking wet leaves.. piles and piles of WET leaves.
Actually it hadn't been too bad around here until this past week. I shouldn't complain. I do love the changing of the seasons. I just really enjoy sunshine. NOT rain. It is hard to believe that only 3 short months ago my children were in the Arizona sun and Steven and I were on the beach in Maui.
I am way behind on my blogging. I made a small dent today at least on the layout and profile pictures. We are off to Cole's football game in just a few minutes. And yes, in the rain! This is actually his very first game this season in the rain. We have been very fortunate.
Maddy's Volleyball season has already come and gone and I haven't posted anything for that yet. The kids carved pumpkins this week and I need to post that too. Oh, and Presley just informed me that Halloween is in 2 days so I will need to post that too. But for now this will have to do. Hope everyone that reads this has a wonderful and Happy Halloween.

Frosh football 2009
Cole is half way through his season and thought I would post some highlights. Starting with some of his biggest fans! Presley! It is so fun to put Cole's other jersey's on the girls and then put his #21 on their face!
Gresham played Central Catholic @ PGE Park. That was pretty cool!
Us girls got it going on ..'ey!

This group looks familar! Go Gresham!

Even Grandpa Lindhorst has made it to a few games!

Running the ball as a tail back

Cole has scored 3 touchdowns for his team!

This is one of them!

The ball is being pitched to him in this shot

This game Gresham scored 42 points.
When the team scores the cheerleaders do pushups for each point. And when they score again they start at one and go up from there. This games they did alot of pushups. I was impressed at the quality of their pushups when they were on the last 42! Go Gresham Cheer!
This last photo is of Cole playing Defense and intercepting the ball on the 16 yard line with 1:25 left in the game.
Cole has scored 3 touchdowns for his team!
Gresham won 22 to 14 over Barlow High School. This was our Civil War game of the year. This is the first win over Barlow in the last 9 years!
We are enjoying watching Cole and his team play.

Miley Cyrus Concert!
Presley was invited to go to the Miley Cyrus Concert with her friend Maisen back in June. The plan was Maisen and her step Mom and Presley and I go together. When the day arrived Maisens little brother was sick so I bought the other ticket and took Sierra too. Last time Hannah/Miley was here in concert I had 4 tickets and took the other 3 girls and Sierra was left out. This time she got to go. I think she had a good time?!
Sierra, Presley and Maisen
Maisen and Presley wondering why Hannah didn't show up to the Concert and sing some of her songs!
Sierra enjoying some popcorn and the show!

School's Back In Session!
I Finally got a picture of Sierra.... Happy Day! She is a sophmore this year! I think this is going to be a great year for her! She seems ready to take on the challenges of the 10th grade!
Bring it on!
Cole started High School this year. He doesn't even seem nervous at all. I think because he spent most of his summer at the school for weight training and football... and he knows where things are. He also is in Seminary this year too. Early morning's to study the B.O.M. before he hits the campus! Oh, Cole stood at the bust stop for 35 minutes the first day only to find out later on in the week that they eliminated the bus route to the High school for our neighborhood!
(budget cuts) What else are they going to cut out?
Madelynn is in the 6th grade this year. Clear Creek Middle School. She is fortunate to have the same team of teachers that Cole had for 3 years. We had quite a time finding her bus stop the first week of school They changed all of the routes and she gets to walk a bit further than her brother ans sister ever had too. We have the budget cuts to thank for that!
Notice her orange vans... her favorite color! She was so excited when we found those!
Sydnee is in the 5th grade this year
She has Ms. Johnson same teacher Maddy had last year.
She is loving school so far this year!

Presley is now in the 2nd grade! She has 2 teachers. Mrs. Heath (who Sierra had for 2nd grade) and Mrs. Conan. They each teach 2 days a week and trade off every other wednesday.
Presley is loving it so far!

Had to put this picture in of the girls... I love it!
We are almost 2 weeks in to school now and I think I finally have everyone's schedules figured out! It is crazy.. 3 schools.. 3 different start times... end times... sports... early days.. late starts.. seminary! I Wouldn't trade it for anything!

Riptide's First Game of Fall Ball!
Okay, I have seriously been trying to post a blog for over an hour. Everytime I click to upload images it comes back as an error webpage expired! Urrghh so frustrating! So after shuting down the computer twice it still said the same thing! So then I tried just one photo and it worked! So here it is.. over an hours worth of work for one picture. lol
Maddy is now playing for another team The Riptide 98! This past weekend was their first games. She was first batter and a bit nervous.. but she got up there and hit the perfect slap bunt!
she played 2nd base half of the innings and shortstop the other half!
Grandma Judy let Steven borrow her camera that has a 200M zoom lens on it. Steven got some amazing pics.
The 2nd inning of the second game Maddy hit a triple(that is the picture below) It went clear to the fence!
won the second game 6-5
Thanks Grandma for letting us borrow your camera and especially for coming to my games!

Maui Birthdays!
So Steven was kind enough to download a few of our snorkeling photos for me to add to the blog. So I apologize that it is out of order.
How fun are these pictures?

Such a great shot of my flippers!

So here is the turtle! Isn't he beautiful! What a moment!

Yes that is me swimming next to the turtle! It was so awesome he would look over at me every once in a while and it was like he was saying... hey! Really.. I know it sounds corny but I am for real!

Steven and I were blessed to get to celebrate our birthdays in Maui! With all of our children with family in Arizona we were able to enjoy a Whole week in this tropical paradise! Thank you Mom, Dad (aka Grandma & Grandpa), Auntie Angelene, Uncle Zach, Auntie Rachelle, Uncle Aaron, Uncle Glenn, Auntie Satya, Uncle Amaron, Uncle Sean, Auntie Christine, Auntie Kim & Uncle Dayson and too all that fed and bed my children for the 4 weeks they were there! We certainly couldn't have had such a relaxing time in Maui without the peace of mind that they were in such good hands.
our first stroll on the beach!

The Teralani 3 behind me is the catamaran we went on for the 4 hour snorkeling cruise

Check out them coconuts!

Steven's Birthday...August 3rd

We went to a Luau! Our lei's smelled so intoxicatingly good! I put mine in the refridgerator in hopes it would last another day. ( not quite)

The Luau was amazing. The food, entertainment and the location right on the beach! They even sang Happy Birthday to Steven!

This is taken in the Lobby of the Westin Resort & Spa that we stayed at!
The waterfall was a walkway.. so cool! There were pink flamingos and coy in the ponds. And they had parrots and cockatoos too!
Okay now Steven decided he was a professional photographer.... so yeah. This is just a few of many!
This does show how absolutely beautiful the resort grounds are.

Onto Parasailing! Fun and so peaceful! Steven was so excited to go he was getting impatient waiting for our turn.

Finally we were out in the boat! We were soooo excited to go up. We paid $$ extra to use their waterproof digital camera to take up with us! To our disappointment it didn't take any pictures while we were up. Of course we got reimbursed the moola but had no cool pictures in the parasail for our time up there. I have to say I was way more than disappointed! I was quite upset!

We went up the full 1200 feet. What an amazing view from up there!
Scuba Steve! Okay I had no idea that Steven had never swam, let alone even went in the ocean past his toes! The moment he took in a mouthful of salt water was priceless!

We snorkeled right off the beach in front of the resort and also up about 1/2 mile. Then we went on a 4 hour snorleling cruise on The Teralani 3.
I actually swam with a sea turtle! I would have to say that was the highlight of my trip! We rented a waterproof digital camera for the snorkeling. We weren't going to take any chances of not getting pictures of this experience. I forgot to download all of those pictures before I started on the blog. I will have to post the one of me swimming with the turtle later.. it is so cool!
Hard Rock Cafe in Lahaina, Maui
Let's just say sooo cool! It is on Front St. right on the water!

Saguaro Lake wake boarding! So Steven and I got back to Oregon from Hawaii on Sunday evening. I got on a plane Tuesday to AZ to go be with my children! First day there we went to the lake! What a blast! The water looked entirely nasty compared to the water in Maui though!
Cole got right up! Thanks Uncle Sean for taking us and Velda for the use of your boat!
Presley loves the water and riding the tube! Unfortunately my camera battery died before we got any pictures of the tube.. and Auntie Rachelle's memory stick was full.. but hey we all had a blast anyways!
Check out Maddy.. this is her second time wakeboarding. 2 years ago when we were down for Auntie Angelene's wedding was her first time. Maddy makes it look so easy!
Looking good in the boat!
So this was my first time wakeboarding. I was relieved to get up my first try! Maddy took a couple pictures of me before the battery died!
Most of the cousins came over for an August Birthday party Celebration! Swimming and Pizza!
Oh and I cannot forget the Golf Cart! The kids had a blast getting to drive and ride around in it! It seemed that Krew couldn't fall asleep at night without his golf cart ride! Yeah.. I am pretty certain that this was one of Presley's Highlights of the trip! That and hangin' with her cousins Halee and Sage!
During the Party I snuck away and Picked up Steven at the airport! He flew in to surprise the kids! Afterall he hadn't seen them for a whole month! (the girls anyways)
